Routers that come with default WEP / WPA / WPA2 keys follow predictable algorithms for practical reasons. Yes, I’m talking about routers that come with those stickers that include info such as S/N, default SSID, and default WEP / WPA / WPA2 key. Chances are that if you own a wireless router which uses a default WEP / WPA / WPA2 key, such key can be predicted based on publicly-available information such as the router’s MAC address or SSID. In other words: it’squite likely that the bad guys can break into your network if you’re using the default encryption key. advice is: use WPA rather than WEP and change the default encryption key now!

Have you lost or thrown out the router box with the printed default keys printed and unable to access your router due to PC changes and lost the original network WEP / WPA / WPA2 key?

Is your SSID the default provided by your ISP?

Do you want to see how easy it is the obtain your default WEP / WPA / WPA2key?

Without been a computer network programming nerd and without using brute force dictionary’s and various hack crack software’s and complex procedures to try to test or obtain your network key to provide access to your router and its connectivity?

One small programme that simply asks you for the DEFAULT SSID that came with your router ie

SpeedTouch XXXXXX

Thomson XXXXXX

INFINITUM XXXXXX

Discus--XXXXXX

Bbox-XXXXXX

DMAX XXXXXX

Orange-XXXXXX

DLink-XXXXXX

CYTA XXXXXX

ect................

This vulnerability affects the Thomson routers which happen to be the manufacture of the same routers that are in common use throughout the world under various brand names on their default configuration. They usually broadcast SSID's as,

speedtouch xxxxxx , Thomson xxxxxx , cyta xxxxxx , INFINITUM xxxxxx,....and much more

More and more ISP’s are rolling out routers in this straight out of the box default configuration to simplify customer installations but most people think if no one can see the printed default keys in the routers packaging box then its a secure network ? Wrong!!

Simply entering only the default SSID in this windows programme the software will provide the default WEP / WPA / WPA2 key.

Enter SSID (ie. for SpeedTouch xxxxxx you only enter the last6 characters xxxxxx)

The results will depending on the year of manufacture provide from 1 to a handful of keys to try usually around four or five keys.

Providing the default out of the box settings have not been changed then a high degree chance of obtaining the original default key and the router manufacture date is between 2002 – 2011.

Do you want to try and spend time using and setting up these free tools listed below that can be found elsewhere on the internet and on ebay?

Use just this one simply software with no configurations to set!!

Just enter the last 6 digits of the default Router SSID thats it !!

Depending on the year of manufacture for the model router you will be given a choice of keys usually around 1 to 5 keys provided in a box that you click the copy key with the mouse and paste into the network connection box and thats it!
