This listing is for an 1851 untitled hand coloured print from engraving, with the publisher's details at the foot of the print.
It shows two possums. Possums are quadrupedal diprotodont marsupials with long thick tails.
The print is untitled but the names are lightly written in pencil on the reverse.
Provenance: From a series of engravings in Oliver Goldsmith's A History of the Earth and Animated Nature; Publisher: A Fullerton, Edinburgh & London 1851
The print measures 245 x 160 mm ( 9.5 x 6.25) " approx. It has a blank reverse. It has a some age yellowing with binding marks to top of print, with a small repaired tear to bottom edge - please refer to scans for condition.
This item will be shipped flat in a board backed envelope, and protected inside that envelope by a plastic sleeve
