This listing is for a circa 1849 print from engraving

A view of women and children walking alongside the river, with the town of Bad Ems shown in the background. The print also shows titles in French and German: "Ems sur la Lahn, Rhin" and "Ems an der Lahn, Rhein"The Lahn is a tributary of the River Rhine.
Provenance: Originally executed for Belgium, The Rhine, Italy, Greece, and the Shores and Islands of the Mediterranean etc by The Rev. G. N. Wright and L. F. A. Buckingham Esq; Published Fisher, Son and Co., London and Paris; etc.
It is printed on good quality grade paper which is blank on the reverse. There is some age yellowing and handling marks to edges - please check the larger picture for condition. The overall print including titled borders measures 27 x 210 mm (10.5 x8.25 inches) approximately. This item will be shipped flat in a board backed envelope.
Info. The term "an original print" is a pictorial image made in a manner which allows it to be multiplied, and originating from the date stated. This includes examples of various methods of printmaking including engravings, etchings, woodcuts etc. Many prints inevitably would have been originally bound in a book at some time as was this one.
