A wonderful view from the beach showing the castle on the clifftop above. A slate lowering hoist perched on a steep pagh with women carrying baskets of slate up and down. A fishing boat is anchored in the bay.
Provenance: From Finden's Views of Ports, Harbours and Watering Places of Great Britain Continued by W. H. Bartlett; Publisher: George Virtue, 26 Ivy Lane, London. 1842.
It is blank on the reverse, and is suitable for framing. The overall print including borders measures 270 x 200 mm (10.5 x 8 inches) approx. There is some age yellowing which is a feature of items of great age and scattered, brown spotting ( foxing) - Please check the larger picture for condition. This item will be shipped flat in a board backed envelope.
