Thirlmere or Wythburn Water, Cumberland

The engraving exhibits the beautiful landscape of the Lake District. The lake lies along the foot of Borrowdale Fells. There is a herdsman, cattle drinking from the water, and a group of fishermen or anglers in the foreground. Now a reservoir, then it was known as Thirlmere Water, Wythburn Water, or Leathes Water Reive Miel

The overall print including borders measures 208 x 138 mm (8.25 x 5.5 inches) approx. incl. titled borders. There is some age yellowing and some scattered, brown spotting and staining - please check the larger picture for condition, anything more than minor will be mentioned in the main body of the description. This item will be shipped flat in a board backed envelope.
