A beautiful hand coloured print from engraving showing the flower leaves, stem, root, seed etc of the Bupleurum falcatum, Falcate Leaved Hare's-ear. It is dated Feb 1st 1833
Bupleurum falcatum, aka Chinese Thoroughwax, Sickle hare's ear and Sickle-leaf hare's ear, is a species of flowering plant in the Apiaceae family and used in Chinese medicine for over 2,000 years as a "liver tonic"

It measures overall 233mm x 142 mm ( 9.25 x 5.5 inches) approximately. The print bears the plate marks around the edges from the printing process. There is a little age yellowing. There is very slight bleedthrough of print from original pages

This item will be shipped flat in a board backed envelope, and protected inside that envelope by a plastic sleeve
