An opportunity to buy a brand-new PAL DVD of one of the great American mystery thrillers made by smaller Hollywood studios in the early 1930s:


The Sphinx, 1933, starring Lionel Atwill


Running Time: approximately 62.5 minutes

The source material: excellent sound quality, whereas the picture is very good, but with a very slight “soft”focus, no doubt reflecting its age.


Your brand-new DVD disc will be created from this source material (without any artwork), and will be supplied in a clear plastic wallet, NOT in a DVD case.

Plot: At nine o'clock one evening, a man leaves the office of the Garfield Investment Company and, seeing the night watchman, asks for a match and the time before leaving the building. The watchman, Luigi Bacigalupi (Luis Alberni), knowing that no one should be in the building, investigates and finds Mr. Garfield lying dead in his office. Garfield is the fourth stockbroker to be strangled recently by an assailant who, in each case, has asked someone for a match and the time.……
