It comes with a separate page with a poem entitled Ianthe by Edward Fitzgerald originally from the"Book of Beauty"1835
Info. It looks like Lady Charlotte Mary Bacon, née Harley and her beauty as a child prompted Lord Byron to dedicate the first two cantos of Childe Harold's Pilgrimage to her, under the name "Ianthe", I can't be certain it is the same lady but it looks like her. It is not from the portrait by Woodall
Provenance: From Heaths Gallery of British Engravings. Publisher: Longman, Rees, Orme, Brown, Green, and Longman, of Paternoster Row, London 1836.
It is printed on good quality grade paper which is blank on the reverse. There is a little age yellowing and handling marks to edges - please check the larger picture for condition
The overall print including borders measures 240 x 190 mm (9.5 x 7.5 inches) approximately.
This item will be shipped flat in a board backed envelope.
