Part of the Interior of the Castle at Newcastle, Northumberland
Engraved by J. Greig from a painting by Luke Clennell. The engraving is dated "Sept 1, 1812".
Provenance: The Border Antiquities of England and Scotland by Sir Walter Scott; Published: Paternoster Row London; Longman and Co. 1813.
It is blank on the reverse. The overall print including titled borders measures 270 x 200 mm (10.5 x 8 inches) approx. There is some age yellowing which is a feature of items of great age and some scattered, brown spotting (foxing) - Please check the larger picture for condition. This item will be shipped flat in a board backed envelope.
