This listing is for a 1797 print from copper engraving, from the date stated and not a later reproduction.
Hampton Court, Herefordshire
Written below the engraving is the title and publishers detail: Engraved by J. Walker from an Original Drawing by W. Turner. Published Sept 1st, 1797 by J. Walker No. 16 Rosomans Street London. It comes with an original separate page of text to accompany the copper plate print, describing the house and location: "……It is now the property of Lord Viscount Malden, eldest son of the Earl of Essex…..the park is eight miles in compass, well stocked with deer, and having a broad pool three quarters of a mile long between two great woods……This enriches vast tracts of land which before were unproductive. There are Numerous gardens and canals, plantations of timber, warrens, decoys, sheep walks, pastures for cattle, &c which supply the house with all necessaries……" etc. The text is in old style using the f as an s in some instances: long, medial or descending s (?) is a form of the lower case letter s formerly used where s occurred in the middle or at the beginning of a word, eg "?infulne?s" ("sinfulness") and "?upply the hou?e" (supply the house).

The use of the term "an original print" in this case, is a pictorial image made in a manner which allows it to be multiplied, and originating from the date stated.
