CQout - Frequently Asked Questions - Points to remember when bidding

Your deal is with the seller not CQout online auctions

Bidders are reminded that CQout acts as an intermediary in the sales process, but offers no warranty or guarantee as to the quality, serviceability, legality or fitness for purpose of any item offered for sale. Neither can CQout guarantee that a person offering an item for sale has ownership or title of that item and the right to sell it.

Binding Nature of bids

When placing a bid, buyers should be aware that at CQout, their bid is considered to be binding once the auction is complete and that this may be legally enforceable by the seller.

You are required to pay for your items promptly after auction close and certainly no later than 7 days. If your payment is likely to be delayed you must inform the Seller immediately and seek their agreement.

If you have any doubts or questions about the item being sold, ask the seller before you place your bid using the Q&A facility. If you do not receive a response to your query, do not bid. Browse all the auctions to make sure the item is the right choice for you.

Bid Cancellation/Retractions

As a rule, retracting a bid is not allowed on CQout. Bidders should take time to consider their bid and ensure that the bid is correct prior to placing it. However, Bid retractions will be considered if made in writing to AuctionMaster before the auction close and will be reviewed on an individual basis.

Users are advised that frivolous bidding and hence bid retractions can result in their access privileges being suspended or permanently revoked.

Starting Bid & Reserve Prices

An item will always have a "Starting Price" and may or may not have a "Reserve Price", if an item has a reserve price it will be indicated as such;

Offered By: Mr Seller (23|0)                                           Auction Closes: 26 Aug 1 6:49PM
Current Bid: 60   (reserve price not yet met) Number of Bids: 1

If an item is being sold has no reserve price, it will appear as;

Offered By: Mr Seller (23|0)                                           Auction Closes: 26 Aug 1 6:49PM
Current Bid: 4.95   (no reserve) Number of Bids: 0

The current bid indicates the starting bid when there are no bids yet.
